A chaniya choli, kediyu or kurta can be part of the pleasure of the evening. Choose something that lets you turn, clap and walk comfortably. Secure a dupatta and check jewellery or accessories that might catch another dancer. Traditional dress requirements vary by event; read your ticket conditions rather than treating any outfit suggestion as a universal rule.

Wear footwear you have already walked in. Carry only what the venue allows: phone, admission confirmation, identification if required, a small amount of payment backup and essential personal items.
